'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League homecoming
Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is at the moment two years through the four-year deal he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German club, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the initial major achievement of his distinguished career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he earlier was, and would definitely contemplate prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
